Former England captain Michael Vaughan tweeted on Twitter hailing Pakistan for the impressive show against India in their first game of ICC T20 World Cup 2021. India lost to Pakistan for the first time in a World Cup fixture after 12 straight games, and it is indeed a big moment for the men in green’s side. Babar won a crucial toss and put India into bat, which greatly affected the game.

Shaheen Afridi bowled a brilliant spell with three wickets and picked up Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul very early in the innings. Finally, Virat Kohli steered India to a respectable total at the end with 151 runs, and the Indian bowling attack had to come out blazing. However, it did not happen as the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan stayed unbeaten till the end and won the game by 10 wickets.

“That Is What You Call Hammering The Favorites” – Michael Vaughan

Michael Vaughan was fascinated by the display of Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2021 against India and tweeted a big statement relating to India getting beaten despite the favourites tag. India had never been beaten in T20 internationals by 10 wickets, which is a big achievement for Pakistan.

“Congrats @ TheRealPC. that is what you call hammering the favourites. Incredible display. Well done. #indiaVsPakistan #T20WorldCup,” tweeted Michael Vaughan.

Michael Vaughan Reckons Babar Azam To Be Among The Best

Michael Vaughan was quite impressed by the batting display of Babar Azam in the game against India and admitted that there could be a serious discussion on Babar Azam being among the best player in the world across various formats. Babar Azam stayed unbeaten on 68 off just 52 balls to guide Pakistan to the victory.

You could argue very well that @babarazam258 is the best player in the world across all formats … #indiaVsPakistan #T20WorldCup,” he tweeted again.
