Virat Kohli had a wholesome reaction to Will Jacks' half-century in the recently concluded game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The right-handed batsman played a whirlwind knock to power RCB to a nine-wicket victory over the last year's runners-up. Jacks joined Virat Kohli in the middle in the fourth over after Sai Kishore dismissed Faf du Plessis to give GT the first breakthrough.

Will Jacks took his time to settle down and relied on singles while Kohli hit the occasional boundaries. At the end of the 10th over, the England star was batting on 16 off 16 balls while Kohli was on 51 off 32 balls. Will Jacks broke the shackles by hitting Mohit Sharma for a four and a six in the 11th over.

In the 15th over, he completed his fifty in style by taking Mohit Sharma to the cleaners. He hit the first ball for a four before hitting the second ball for a six to complete his half-century in 31 balls. In the same over, he hit two more sixes and a four.

And as Will Jacks completed his fifty, Virat Kohli looked absolutely delighted and celebrated it in an animated manner. He stuck his tongue out and was seen dancing before congratulating his teammate.

After completing his fifty in the 15th over, Will Jacks left the cricketing world stunned by reaching his century in the 16th over. He reached his maiden IPL century in just 41 balls after hitting Rashid Khan for four sixes and a four in the over.

On the last ball of the over, he hit a six to complete his century and take RCB over the finishing line. Will Jacks remained unbeaten on 100 off 41 balls while Kohli scored 70 off 44.

"Amazing feeling right now. Faf and Virat got us off to a very good start. I struggled early on, Virat kept his intensity up and I had the chance to get my rhythm. Once we had the time-out, we said let's get two really good overs and win the game.

"I just kept going and amazing feeling right now. I was trying to be positive (against spin early on), just struggling. I was trying to overhit the ball, probably little bit tensed. Once I got one away off Mohit, I relaxed and trusted myself. Next game, hopefully I do that earlier," said Jacks after being adjudged the Player of the Match.
