Riding on Will Jacks' blazing century, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, on Sunday (April 28), thrashed Gujarat Titans by nine wickets to register their third win in the ongoing IPL 2024. Chasing 201, RCB chased down the total in just 16 overs.

Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli gave RCB a decent start by adding 40 runs in less than four overs before the former was dismissed by Sai Kishore. After that, it was one-way traffic as GT could not take any more wickets. Kohli and Jacks mixed caution with aggression to steady the ship.

At the end of the 10th over, RCB were on 98 for 1. In the tenth over, Kohli completed his fifty off 32 balls while Jacks was batting on run-a-ball 16 at that stage. The England star soon shifted gears by hitting Mohit Sharma for a four and a six in the 11th over and did not look back.

In the 15th over, he took Mohit Sharma to the cleaners, hitting him for 28 runs. In the same over, he also completed his fifty off 31 balls. And in the very next over, he completed his century in 41 balls by hitting Rashid Khan for four sixes and a four.  He remained unbeaten on 100 off 41 balls while Kohli scored 70 off 44.

Earlier in the game, GT scored 200/3 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first by RCB. Sai Sudharsan top-scored for the hosts, scoring an unbeaten 84 off 49 balls while Shahrukh Khan scored 58 runs off 30 balls.

Swapnil Singh gave RCB a solid start with the ball by dismissing Wriddhiman Saha for 5 runs in the very first over. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan made sure that GT did not lose any more wickets in the powerplay but they could not score at a good pace.

At the end of the powerplay, GT were on 42 for 1. In the seventh over, Glenn Maxwell broke the stand by dismissing Gill for 16 to reduce GT to 45 for 2. Sudharsan and Shahrukh then steadied the ship with an 86-run stand for the third wicket. Shahrukh, who was batting at number four for the first time in his IPL career, scored his first fifty of the season before being dismissed by Siraj in the 15th over.

Sudharsan and David Miller then shared an unbeaten stand of 69 runs to take their team to 200. Sudharsan's knock was studded with eight fours and four sixes. On the other hand, Miller remained unbeaten on 26 off 19 balls.
