Nicholas Pooran continued his questionable form in the IPL this season, as fans claim anti-corruption investigations on the LSG star after another flop show against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The Lucknow Super Giants have managed to win two games in this season, all thanks to their bowlers, who made them bounce back in the games despite the poor outings for the batters. The LSG possesses one of the strongest batting units of IPL 2026; however, none of the players have hit good form.

The likes of Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, and Nicholas Pooran, the three destructive batters in the LSG lineup, have constantly failed for the Super Giants. With a fifty-point lead from any of these players, Pooran's form has been a bigger concern.

Nicholas Pooran continues his horrific run in IPL 2026

Nicholas Pooran's lack of form is a bigger concern for the Lucknow Super Giants, not because they are not getting runs from the veteran batter, but because he has not shown the intent of scoring runs, something Pooran is widely known for.

Pooran has scored just 42 runs in this edition of the IPL after having played all 5 matches and has a strike rate below 80, that too in a T20 tournament, where he previously batted with a strike rate of 175-200 in former seasons.

Pooran was once again dismissed for a single run after having played seven balls. He was cleaned by Josh Hazlewood, who was bowling his third over after the end of the power play.

Nicholas Pooran has been accused of match-fixing by LSG fans

The West Indian left-hander has never struggled like this before in the shortest format of the game. His form has dipped since the last season of the IPL, as he announced his international retirement in the meantime.

Pooran has lacked form in this season of the competition, as Rishabh Pant took away his rightful position at no. 3. Pooran had scored all his runs back in the previous season at the no. 3 position.

Pooran has been accused of intentionally not playing well because he has been ignored from the team's position at no. 3. Some have claimed that he wants to prove that Pant is more of a selfish individual who took away his rightful position; however, Pooran is batting at no. 4, and should not be demotivated for this reason.
