The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL), match no.23, was between the Royal Challengers (RCB) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). RCB won the toss and opted to field first. During the game, another injury scare happened as LSG captain Rishabh Pant got struck on his elbow while batting against Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood.
Rishabh Pant was unable to continue, retired hurt, and went back to the pavilion. The LSG skipper was upset with himself for not being able to continue. Hazlewood came to console the wicket-keeper batter as he showcased gamemanship while he was walking back towards the dugout. It will be a huge blow for the LSG camp if Pant does not come back.
Will Rishabh Pant come back to bat?
Rishabh Pant's injury might have come at the wrong place, as LSG's top order has not been firing, and there have been two wickets in the early stages of the game, with Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran back in the pavilion. The Super Giants are in real trouble as RCB bowlers are all over LSG.

Rishabh Pant needs to come in to bat as he has been a courageous cricketer, and as we saw him taking the field during the England vs India series back last year, where he batted with a broken toe and scored a brilliant half-century. The Southpaw has a lot of pain-bearing ability, and he also knows the importance of playing the ongoing match.
Mitchell Marsh is controlling LSG's innings
Mitchell Marsh has been batting brilliantly as the Australia T20 captain has been sticking at one end and playing his shots and controlling the innings at the moment. Marsh needs to take up the responsibility and play a long innings if LSG have to score a big total.
Markram has failed again, as the opening pair of Marsh and Markram, who were brilliant last season, have failed to deliver the runs and starts that LSG needed. One of the batters have failed to score runs and given away the wicket cheaply.
It's a good wicket to bat on- Rishabh Pant
During the toss, Rishabh Pant said, "Pretty confident. It's a good wicket to bat on. Because in wickets like this, you can bat first or bowl first. Eventually, you've got to play a better cricket. We feel as a group, we've got to regroup, come together and take ownership of whatever role we are playing as a team. And it's easier, in every match, we don't want to introspect how we are playing cricket."
He further added, "We just want to trust in the group. And hopefully, people will put their hand up and say, I'm going to win the match for the team. Definitely, you know, we talk about being leaders. And there are a lot of leaders in the group. Eventually, you've got to go out there and perform at the same time, soak in that pressure for the team and try to do well. We're playing with the same team."
