Forme England skipper Michael Vaughan has labelled Virat Kohli the ‘worst reviewer in the world’ after the latter’s struggle with the Decision Review System continued in the ongoing fifth England vs India Test too.

That Virat Kohli is not very comfortable with taking reviews is well documented now. And it has been further highlighted in the ongoing game at The Oval. In the first innings, India wasted both their reviews inside the first day and both the reviews could have been easily avoided. And it got only worse in the second essay.

By the time England scored 27 runs in their second innings, India had already wasted both their reviews on openers Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings.

India took both the revoew within the first 18 balls played after the Tea break on Sunday. On both occasions, Ravindra Jadeja (1/36) and keeper Rishabh Pant convinced captain Kohli to go upstair after the on-field umpires turned their appeal down. And on both the occasions the ball missed the off-stump.

Unimpressed with Kohli’s reviews, former England skipper Michael Vaughan did not hesitate in criticising him. The outspoken ex-batsman took to Twitter to criticise the India skipper, writing:

“Virat is the best Batsman in the World .. #Fact .. Virat is the worst reviewer in the World .. #Fact #ENGvsIND”

Coming to the game, England finished day three firmly in driver’s seat.  At the end of the day, England had extended their lead to 154 with 8 wickets in hand.

India could have found themselves well out of the game on day three when they began on 174 for 6 in reply to England’s 332. However, Hanuma Vihari and Ravindra Jadeja scored gritty fifties to bring back India in the game. The duo shared 77 runs for the seventh wicket before Moeen Ali sent back debutant Vihari for 56.

But Jadeja, playing in his first Test of the series, showed impressive resistance, scoring an unbeaten 86 to help India restrict their first-innings deficit to just 40 runs. Alastair Cook and Joe Root then saw England to 114-2 at the close of play.
