Delhi Capitals are on their home stretch in IPL 2024 and will be playing against Mumbai Indians on Saturday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Both teams have played eight games and are on six points. It is the must-win phase for both teams needing at least five wins out of their remaining six games to make the playoffs.

Delhi Capitals started their home leg with a loss to SRH. They then managed to bear Gujarat Titans in the reverse fixture at home.

DC lost to MI in the first game of the season and hence will be eager to eager to make a comeback. A loss in this match would push them too deep down the points table and a comeback will be tough.

David Warner

Warner will open the batting for Delhi Capitals. He has not had a season to remember so far. More than halfway through the season, he has not yet scored 300 runs in the season

Prithvi Shaw

Shaw will open the batting alongside Warner. He was dropped from the first few games and has gotten his chances starting with the game against CSk in Vizag.

Jake Fraser-McGurk

The 21-year-old will slot in at three. e has been an ideal replacement for Mitchell Marsh. The right-hander has played some explosive knock for the side and one such knock will be needed from him against MI.

Rishabh Pant (C/WK)

Pant will slot in at four. He has played some good knocks for the Capitals so far this season. He has scored over 250 runs in the first phase of the tournament. He needs another big knock for his team against MI.

Tristan Stubbs

Stubbs has been the enforcer in the middle-overs for DC. He has scored runs at a high strike rate and will need to play another decisive knock against his former franchise.

Axar Patel

Axar Patel needs to step up with both bat and ball in the second half of the season for Delhi Capitals. So far he has been a good backup for Kuldeep Yadav but has not picked too many wickets this season.

Lalit Yadav

Lalit is another good spin option and can score some runs in the lower order. Spin should be the way to go at the Kotla in the afternoon game against MI.

Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep will slot in at eight. He has been a wicket-taker for DC in the middle overs. So far this season he has picked up 12 wickets from six games including two in the last game against GT.

Anrich Nortje

Nortje will slot in at nine. He has been the specialist overseas speedster but has not taken many wickets to show for his efforts this season so far. He has picked up six wickets in six games this season so far.

Khaleel Ahmed

Khaleel the left-arm pacer will slot in at 10. He has been a good wicket-taker at the top for DC. He has also swung the ball in the initial overs for DC and posed problems to opposition batters.

Mukesh Kumar

Mukesh will conclude the likely playing XI for DC against MI. He has been a good backup for the likes of Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav who has picked up up the wickets. Mukesh has been very good at the death.

Impact Sub-Abishek Porel

Porel has been used as the Impact Sub by Delhi Capitals and might continue to do so. He has scored at a good strike rate whenever he has got his chance with the bat.
