Gautam Gambhir says India should win the Trent Bridge Test on the fourth day only.

The discarded India opening batsman, Gautam Gambhir believes India is heading towards the most significant victory now at the Trent Bridge against England.

He shared rich praises on the Indian team especially on Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli for guiding India towards a big total in the second innings.

The left-hand batsman Gambhir feels Indian skipper is the star performer of the day. He lauded the partnership between Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara that put the visitors in the commanding position.

Gambhir said after avoiding to lose any wicket in the morning, a big target was on the cards for England. Besides this, he believes the only result now the Trent Bridge can have is the victory for India.

Gautam Gambhir further believes with the quality of bowling the visitors have, it is going to be a tricky chase for England. India has gone with five bowlers in the third Test match. Gambhir said he is hopeful that India will wrap up the Test on the fourth day only. He said India deserves to win after outclassing England in every session of the first three days.

Before stumps on day three, India invited England to bat for the tricky nine overs. However, England played cautiously and avoided to lose a wicket in a big chase, and ended the day with the score of 23 for zero.

Earlier, the Indian team posted 352 for seven dec and gave a target of 521 runs. In the meanwhile, Virat Kohli completed his 23rd Test ton in the second innings.

Luckily, Cheteshwar Pujara found himself among the run-getters along with Ajinkya Rahane. Ajinkya Rahane scored 81 with the help of ten boundaries in the first inning. In the second inning, Pujara ended the dearth, as he scored an excellent knock of 72 runs.
