India’s off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has made a bold prediction for the upcoming ODI series against Australia. Harbhajan believes even if India play at their 60%, they will go on to win the ODI series by a margin of 4-1. India had recently beaten Australia by 2-1 in the three-match ODI series in Australia.

India is in fine form in the white ball format. The Men in Blue had also gone on to win the five-match ODI series against New Zealand by 4-1. Consequently, Virat Kohli’s men are high on confidence. India would be playing in their own conditions which further pushes their case.

On the other hand, Australia has struggled to get going in the 50-overs version of the game. They haven’t been at their best. Furthermore, they have deeply missed the services of David Warner and Steven Smith.

“Given India’s current form, I don’t think any team will be able to beat them. Even if India give their 60 percent, they will win the ODI series 4-1. Jasprit Bumrah’s return is a big plus for Team India,” Harbhajan said while talking to Aaj Tak.

Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh believes there would not be any changes in the 15-man squad even if there is an exceptional performance from any player in the IPL. The Turbanator stated that the core of the team will remain the same. However, he believes that there could be changes in the squad if there are injury woes.

“I don’t think there will be changes in the Indian team for the World Cup even if someone plays amazingly well in the IPL, be it Suresh Raina or any youngster. I don’t think the 15-man squad will change, unless there are injuries or so. BCCI is also looking at the squad in the manner of who to rest and how during the IPL, so the squad is more or less locked,” he said.

India will like to continue the good show in the upcoming ODI series against Australia. The Indian juggernauts have ticked the right boxes in the recent past and they would like to keep going strong in their last series before the World Cup. The first T20I between India and Australia will take place at Vishakhapatnam on 24th February.

India has been in fine form and they would like to hit the ground running against Australia. The hosts have covered most of the bases. In fact, the series against Australia is the last opportunity for India to test their bench strength.
