India vs Australia 2019: Twitter Slams Umesh Yadav For His Poor Show In 1st T20I
Updated - 25 Feb 2019, 12:13 PM
It was one heck of a game on the other night at Visakhapatnam. In a thriller like a first T20I, usually, there will be a star for the winning team while an unfortunate player on the losing side. Regrettably, it was Umesh Yadav, who took that role for India at Vizag to be on the wrong side of things. Thus, invited flak from the Indian fans on Twitter.
Initially, it was Indian batsmen, who failed to make the most from the perfect platform set by KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. The run out of Rishabh followed by a double-wicket over never gave the boost to the scorecard. Though MS Dhoni stood till the end, the lack of support from other end and regular wickets denied him going for strokes.
Jasprit Bumrah was brilliant:
However, after trying, by all means, they ended up putting 126 runs on the board. In reply, they have been successful in sending Marcus Stoinis and Aaron Finch back to the pavilion in quick succession before Glenn Maxwell wielding his willow.
Maxwell, in presence of D’Arcy Short, has been brilliant in the chase. But, the duo dismissals in quick succession once again brought India back into the game. The stunning show from Jasprit Bumrah kept India in a winning position after conceding 2 runs off 19th over by sending back their two batsmen.
Despite having 14 runs in the kitty, and, with Pat Cummins and Jhye Richardson at the strike, it was expected that Umesh Yadav would take the game for India. But, he failed to hit the right lengths, which were perfectly cashed in by the Australian batsmen.
All in all, it was a poor show in the comeback match for Umesh Yadav. It would be interesting to see whether the Indian team would back him for the final game or not.

Had No doubt that one bowler who could made India loose from a position of 14 runs required in 1 over and with tailenders on crease would be Umesh Yadav. And he did it. Don't know what to say. ?☹️
