New Zealand’s southpaw opener Colin Munro tried to play a cut short against India’s spearhead Mohammed Shami. However, Munro could not get his timing right and chopped the ball back on to the stumps. Thus, Shami got the first wicket of the innings and Munro was dismissed after scoring 24 runs off just 19 balls.

Munro has been trying to be over-aggressive in this series and his technique has come under the scanner. On the other hand, Mohammed Shami is making a comeback after he was rested in the previous ODI at Hamilton.

Munro continues his poor form going.

Shami has been brilliant in the ongoing series against New Zealand. The talisman pacer had scalped three wickets in the first match at Napier and thus he was awarded the Man of the match.

Shami was once again at his best in the third ODI at Bay Oval and took three wickets to breathe down the neck of the New Zealand batsmen. Once again he was awarded the Man of the match for his brilliant spell.

On the other hand, India was able to post a score of 252 runs in the ongoing final and fifth ODI match. Ambati Rayudu scored a good knock of 90 runs to rescue his team out of the troubled waters.

India was behind the eighth-ball as they lost four wickets for the score of 18 runs. However, Rayudu and Vijay Shankar were able to bail India out of the trouble. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya provided the finishing touches to the Indian innings as he scored a quickfire 22-ball 45.

Matt Henry scalped four wickets whereas Trent Boult took three wickets as both New Zealand pacers made most of the swinging conditions in Wellington. James Neesham took one wicket.
