After the long series in England followed by the prestigious Asia Cup 2018, now, it is the time for Indians to gear up for the home series against West Indies. Windies team is set to arrive in India for the series across the three formats in an already jam-packed schedule. However, this would be the glorious chance for India to embed youngsters into the international cricket. Here are the five expected new faces in the Indian team for Windies series.

India will play two Test match series against the Windies. The first Test match will begin from 4 October at Rajkot.

Here are the five expected new faces against Windies:

5. Shahbaz Nadeem:

The left-arm spinner, Shahbaz Nadeem has been a sensation for his side over the seasons and his recent spectacular performance might pave a way for him to get into the Indian team.

With Ravindra Jadeja performing beautifully in England and in Asia Cup 2018, BCCI would like to keep him fresh for the Australian tour as well. Most probably, Shahbaz Nadeem will take the role. Nadeem had also recently scalped the best figures of List A cricket as he had taken 8 wickets for just ten runs in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy.

4. Navdeep Saini:

The lanky fast bowler is doing all the required stuff for the selectors to pick him in the squad. He impressed one and all with his spells in various tours for India A and also the force to reckon with in the domestic circuit of the game.

Initially, he was expected to make it to the Indian side for UK tour but, the good recovery from Jasprit Bumrah dented his chances to get the national call-up. However, Navdeep Saini should be eagerly waiting with a phone in his hand.

3. Mohammed Siraj:

Another fast bowler in the domestic circuit waiting for his chance to be in the Test squad is Mohammed Siraj. Of late, he became a revelation in the Indian cricket with glorious performances in his kitty.

The Hyderabad fast bowler had a bitter moment in his presence in limited overs format but his exceptional tallies in the recent domestic cricket will push BCCI to give him a nod for the Test call-up against Windies. Siraj had also scalped ten wickets while playing against South Africa A.

2. Mayank Agarwal:

Perhaps, the classy right-hander is the unluckiest cricketer right now. He has got bulk of scores under his belt and he is always an expected face whenever BCCI announces squad for any tour.

However, this time, it seems like Mayank Agarwal could well earn his call-up to make a debut in the Test attire. Probably, BCCI would rest their key batsman and ask Mayank Agarwal to prove his worth as a batsman.

1. Prithvi Shaw:

The right-handed youngster surprised one and all after receiving the call-up for the Test series against England. Unfortunately, he was never given a chance to flourish his willow on the English soil.

Perhaps, the dream-come-true moment for Prithvi Shaw is around the corner. Probably, BCCI would retain the youngster once again and give a go against Windies Cricket team by resting senior players.
