Moreover, Chahar also played for India A where he looked pretty good and bagged with six wickets from four matches. However, he couldn’t put up some great show in recent past; thus the team management didn’t think of him while making a call for selection.

The wicket-keeper batsman had played some decent cricket in the recent Asia Cup 2018 in the UAE. Though Dinesh couldn’t convert his runs into bigger ones, he played some exceptional cricket in Dubai. Recently, the wicketkeeper-batsman also played two Test matches against England but failed to score much for his team.

Moreover, Rishabh Pant got picked instead of Karthik. Now, the 33-year old batsman needs to put some effort and score runs to get a place in the ODI squad for the next year’s World Cup in England.
