India vs Windies 2018: India is Far Better than Windies - Kapil Dev

Here comes the first bold statement on India vs Windies 2018 series. The former India skipper, Kapil Dev feels the Indian team is way better than Windies under the current circumstances. However, it won’t come as a surprise as Windies cricket isn’t in a great state to compete with the Indian team.

The Haryana fast bowler quoted India will seal the series with the talent they have got in their ranks. On the other hand, he feels Windies aren’t up to the mark to defeat the Indians, especially, while touring India.

Recently, Kapil Dev gave an interview to Gulf News, where he quoted the series against the visiting team is an easy task to accomplish for team India. He feels Virat Kohli-led side will bag the two-match Tests.

Further, Dev highlighted that fact that there is a lot of difference between the old team from the Caribbean and the current crop. Kapil Dev believes there wouldn’t be any competition during the two-match Test series.

“The present West Indies team is not as good as they were in the past. Our team is far better and that too on Indian conditions. I don’t see much of a competition between the two teams,” Kapil Dev said.

India will play the Windies on October 4th at Rajkot:

Meanwhile, the stage remains set for the first Test between both the countries. They will be locking horns against each other at Saurashtra Cricket Association, Rajkot. The pitch is expected to be the bouncy track to prepare for the Australian tour, as Windies are on the lower side with lack of sound players.
