The All-India Cricket Selection committee has announced the Indian squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against the Windies. The first Test match will take place from 4th October at Rajkot whereas the second Test will commence from 12 October at Hyderabad. The Test series will be followed by five-match ODI series and three T20I series.

Meanwhile, the Indian selectors have finally roped in Mayank Agarwal. The Karnataka who has been in prolific form in the domestic circuit has finally received his maiden Test call. In fact, the right-hander was knocking hard at the selection’s doors and finally, the Indian selectors have answered to him.

India will look to continue their domination in home conditions.

Prithvi Shaw also makes the squad. The prodigy batsman was called into the Indian squad for the final two Test matches against England. However, he didn’t get his chance in the final playing XI.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Siraj who had impressed with his bowling performance for the India A is called into the side.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli will be back at the helm of captaincy. Kohli was rested for the Asia Cup, which India won by three wickets. Thus, the full-time captain will return to action after going through the fitness test.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant also holds on to his place in the squad Pant had scored a ferocious hundred in the final Test match against England.

This is an interesting squad

Ishant Sharma misses out whereas Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah are rested. Shardul Thakur also makes his place in the side.
