IPL 2018: Suryakumar Yadav Becomes the Top Run-getter as an Uncapped Indian Player

Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman Suryakumar Yadav has become the top run-getter in Indian Premier League (IPL) history being an uncapped Indian player.

The right-handed batsman Suryakumar went past the record of Manan Vohra. Suryakumar Yadav has now scored 1,007 runs as he leapfrogged 1004 runs of Vohra, who’s concurrently representing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Suryakumar, who represented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the previous season is in prime form for the reigning champions Indians in IPL 2018.

Thus, the prominent batter Surayakumar is relishing the opportunity to bat in the top order and he has grabbed the same with both his hands.

Suryakumar Yadav is in the form of his life.

Subsequently, Indians opener has thus far scored 399 runs in the ongoing season which makes him the second highest run-scorer in the season.

Suryakumar has accumulated his runs at an average of 39.90 in the 10 matches he has played. Meanwhile, Ambati Rayudu who has accumulated 423 runs and is eventually at the top of the tree.

Suryakumar Yadav has an impressive strike rate of 132.12 as he has hit 45 boundaries and 12 sixes in the 11th season of the IPL.

Moreover, Suryakumar also scored four fifties which is the joint highest in the season.

Yadav is instrumental in providing solid starts to Mumbai in this season. However, the defending champions are not having the best of the seasons.

Rohit Sharma-led team has won only three matches out of the nine they have played and they find themselves in a do or die situation.

Consequently, Suryakumar has definitely put his case in front of the national selectors with such fine performances in the IPL.
