He missed the T20I series against South Africa and is more than likely to miss the T20Is against Bangladesh too. Well, the fans will get a chance to catch a glimpse of the wicketkeeper-batsman on Saturday when India take on South Africa in the third Test in MS Dhoni’s hometown Ranchi. The 38-year old will be attending the first day of the match,

“Mahi will definitely come and you will see him during the first day’s proceedings tomorrow. I was there with him in Mumbai and he will fly down tomorrow morning,” MS Dhoni’s manager and one-time Jharkhand teammate Mihir Diwakar told PTI.

“We have sent an invitation to his family. Yeh to unka hi stadium hai (It’s his stadium only). He is most welcome anytime,” Khan said.

Diwakar, however, has said that Dhoni is unlikely to be accompanied by any of his family members. He also said that the Indian players are likely to have dinner at his sprawling farmhouse in Simaliya, in outskirts of Ranchi.
