Pakistan vs New Zealand 2018: PCB Announces 15-Man T20I Squad

Of late, Pakistan has become an exciting team in the game of cricket, as far as T20I format is concerned. All the players have been displaying top-class cricket on their day to stable Pakistan at the top of the ICC team rankings chart. Meanwhile, PCB announced their T20I squad for the series against New Zealand.

However, the squad doesn’t have any inclusions or exclusions for the three-match T20I series against the Kiwis. They have retained the whole team that played superbly against Australia in the recently concluded series.

The first T20I of the series will be played in Abu Dhabi while the rest of the games will get hosted at the Dubai International Stadium. Of late, both venues have been hosting a lot of cricket matches across the formats.

Inzamam-ul-Haq once again asked Sarfraz Ahmed to lead the side thus calling curtains on the change in the skipper ahead of 2019 World Cup. Meanwhile, all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez also retained his place in the team as well.

The newbie in the side, Waqas Mohammed also found a place in the squad alongside Shaheen Shah Afridi. Surprisingly, Amir has been once again excluded from the team thus asking him to perform in the domestic circuit.

”The National Selection Committee headed by Inzamam ul Haq after consultation with Captain Sarfraz Ahmed and Head Coach Mickey Arthur has retained the 15-member T-20 squad that played against Australia for the upcoming three-match T-20I series against New Zealand,” the PCB said in a media release.
