Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) acting president CK Khanna praised the Indian team and said that the Indian team reaped benefits of their aggressive attitude in the positive direction.

Team India received great appreciation for winning their first bilateral ODI series in the Rainbow nation in 25 years. India completed a historic 5-1 victory against the hosts South Africa in the ODI series after they won the sixth ODI by eight wickets.

India’s historic triumph in South Africa has been a result of some impressive individual performances throughout the series.

The Indian wrist spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav troubled the South African batsmen in the series. None of the batsmen could read the Indian spinners and surrender to their bowling.

The duo combined to pick up 33 wickets in the six match series.

In the batting department, the Indian top three was the backbone of the Indian batting lineup. Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have at least one century to their name.
