SunRisers Hyderabad are a hit away from entering the IPL 2020 playoffs. SRH will take on Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 clash later in the day. While Mumbai Indians are sitting comfortably at the top of the table, SRH find themselves in a virtual quarter-finals, where the result of the match will decide their fate.
Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore are the three teams to have qualified for the IPL 2020 playoffs while Kolkata Knight Riders are at the fourth spot. SRH have a better net run rate than KKR and a win will help them seal a spot in the playoffs for IPL 2020.
The match against Mumbai Indians will be virtual quarter-finals: Kane Williamson
New Zealand captain and one of the integral member of SRH squad Kane Williamson understands the importance of the match. He said that it will be a virtual quarter-finals for the side and as they are coming at the back of some brilliant performances it will be important for them to carry the momentum in the game.
“Obviously we come off a few strong performances which is great but you know for us it’s sort of a quarter-final really. Everything to play for. The team’s really excited. It’s been really interesting year,” Kane Williamson said in a video for SunRisers Hyderabad.
SRH currently have 12 points from 13 matches that they have played in the IPL 2020.
