Sunil Narine, on Saturday (May 11), was clean bowled by Jasprit Bumrah for a golden duck in the ongoing game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The start of the game was delayed due to rain and wet outfield. While the match was scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, it eventually started at 9:15 PM. The game has been reduced to 16-over per side. Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Phil Salt started the game in a stunning fashion by smashing Nuwan Thushara for a huge six on the very first ball. However, the Sri Lankan pacer had the last laugh as he bowled three dot deliveries in a row before sending back the England star for the second time this season.

And on the very first ball of the second over, Jasprit Bumrah castled Sunil Narine to put Mumbai Indians in the driver's seat. It was a brain-fade moment from the in-form Kolkata Knight Riders opener as he misjudged the line and length of the ball and ended up leaving an inswinging yorker on off.

Bumrah bowled an angled delivery that swung in at the last moment to hit the stump. Narine was anticipating that the ball would hold its line and go to the wicketkeeper. However, he was left stunned by the late movement and had to depart without bothering the scorer.

And as if dismissing the KKR star was not enough, Bumrah rubbed salt into the wounds of the hosts and their fans by doing Shoaib Akhtar's famous 'aeroplane' celebration. The KKR fans had witnessed the same celebration from Akhtar a number of times in 2008 when he played for them. Just like Akhtar Bumrah also stretched his arms and sprinted down the pitch to celebrate the wicket.
