Shaw scored a brilliant 129 off just 81 balls as he smashed 14 boundaries and a half a dozen maximums in his blistering knock.

In fact, this was Shaw’s third score of more than fifty runs in the ongoing tourney. Meanwhile, Shaw has had a fine start to his young career. The flamboyant right-hander had scored seven hundreds in his List A career. Thus, Shaw has shown the right promise to be the future of Indian cricket.

Shaw had also received a maiden Test call-up to the Indian squad for the final two Test matches against England. However, he could make the cut into the playing XI. Nevertheless, there is no denying the fact that it would have been a learning experience for Shaw to spend some time in the Indian dressing room.

Shaw had also led India Under-19 team to glory in the World Cup earlier in the year hosted by New Zealand. India had defeated Australia in the final of the tournament. In fact, Indian colts had dominated almost all their matches.
