The World Cup is just nine months away.

Meanwhile, 2019 World Cup will be played via the round robin method. All the ten teams will take on each other once. Thus, a particular team will play the other nine teams on one occasion. The last time when such a schedule was followed was back in 1992 World Cup. Thus, the round robin will replace the group qualification.

Consequently, the top four teams will reach the semifinal stages. The first ranked team will take on the fourth-placed team in the points table whereas the second positioned team will lock horns with the third-placed team. The first semifinal will take place on 9 July at Old Trafford, Manchester while the second one will be held on 11 July at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

On the other hand, hosts England have been in sublime form in the 50-overs format. Consequently, many experts believe that the Eoin Morgan led side is one of the favourite sides to lift the World Cup trophy for the first time.
