Twitter Hails Mohammad Hafeez For His Brilliant Come Back

Mohammad Hafeez was recalled into the Pakistan Test team for the first time in over two years, and he scored a century to guide his team to score a decent total on Day 1.

He hit 126 off 208 balls while fellow opener Imam-ul-Haq scored 76 off 188 after Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat on a flat Dubai Stadium pitch. The last appearance of Mohammad Hafeez came in England two years ago. He also brought up his tenth Test century with two boundaries off Mitchell Starc before pushing spinner Jon Holland for two. His 126 runs include 15 massive boundaries.

Moreover, he was given a life on 74 when Mitchell Marsh could not hold on to a tough chance on the boundary off the bowling of Holland after covering some 20 yards in the outfield. Imam completed his second Test half-century with the help of seven boundaries and two sixes.

In addition to that, Mohammad Hafeez scored four hundred in the UAE. This is his first century against Australia and second consecutive hundred in the UAE. He scored 151 against England at Sharjah in 2015. Hafeez now has 3465 runs as an opener and ten centuries. Only Saeed Anwar has more centuries as Pakistan opener than Hafeez and Hafeez, currently averaging 55.27 in the UAE.
