Twitter Reacts As Team India Qualify For Semi-finals Of ICC T20 World Cup 2022

Before their last games of the Super 12 stage, India and South Africa were only one game away from advancing to the semifinals of the T20 World Cup 2022, with six and five points, respectively, on the group standings.

However, India’s qualification was already secured before they faced off against Zimbabwe in their last group-stage match because South Africa’s loss to the Netherlands eliminated them from the main competition.

Despite the fact that it was a lost cause for the Netherlands, the players nevertheless gave it their all. They dominated the first innings before overwhelming the Proteas in the second to prevent them from attempting to chase the total. South Africa was thus eliminated from the semi-final round as a result of the Netherlands winning the game by 13 runs.

India’s semifinal appearance was assured by South Africa’s defeat because the Men in Blue are currently leading the standings with six points. Rohit Sharma’s men has only suffered one loss in the first four games. They were put on the back foot after losing to South Africa, but they recovered with wins over Pakistan, the Netherlands, and Bangladesh.

While some supporters made fun of South Africa, others were shocked that they didn’t advance to the semifinals after coming so close.
