Perhaps, Anil Kumble’s ouster from Indian Coaching Panel will be one of the black spots in Indian Cricket. He hasn’t done anything wrong in his coaching shoes, as far as his winning record is concerned. However, the rifts between him and the skipper Virat Kohli was the only major reason to reject Anil Kumble by BCCI.

Anil Kumble had a great run as Indian Head Coach:

India tasted sensational victories under his coaching eyes at Home. They made their way back to number 1 in ICC Test rankings by performing exceptionally in the home season against all the major nations.

Then,  India ended-up being the runner-up of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as well. However, then came the news of the rift between Virat Kohli and him followed by the meeting for the new coach as well.

All the things happened in a flash and finally, Virat Kohli’s vote to Ravi Shastri did the trick. The respective board handed reigns to Ravi Shastri with a hefty check to coach the side until ICC World Cup 2019.

India achieved success beneath Ravi Shastri as well. But, lost the major series against South Africa and England in longer versions of the game. However, he backed it up with the Asia Cup 2018 victory.

Ravi Shastri was also criticised for his poor fitness and lame decisions while picking the playing XI in the overseas tours. All those things made Indian fans to criticise the board for the selection of Shastri ahead of Anil Kumble.

Meanwhile, coming to the topic, the ex-coach Anil Kumble is celebrating his 48th birthday tonight and the respective Indian board tweeted their wishes. It didn’t impress the fans, as they felt the wishes are artificial and a mere formality.
