Indian run-machine Virat Kohli‘s stunning consistency with the bat has left one and all shell-shocked. Almost every time, the 29-year old comes to bat, he shatters one or more records. Such has been the consistency of the right-handed batsman that the fans have rarely missed the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and others.

In his early days, Kohli was earmarked to become the next flag-bearer of Indian cricket and the Delhi-born star has exceeded all the expectations. Kohli, who is now a more valuable brand than Argentina and FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi according to Forbes, has taken the cricket world by storm.

At just 28, he broke Ricky Ponting’s record of 30 ODI centuries to become the second leading centurion in 50-over formats. Last month, he had also become the quickest to score 9,000 ODI runs. His phenomenal consistency can be understood by the fact that he is the only batsman with 50-plus averages in ODI and T20I in addition to being the world number one in both the formats.

Kohli’s batting prowess have left not only the fans stunned but also his teammates and one among them is KL Rahul. In fact, Rahul is so stunned by his teammate’s batting that he asked him to stop making batting look so easy while wishing him on his 29th birthday last week.

“Happy Birthday Legend @imVkohli ? Can you please stop making Batting look so easy?! ?
#HappyBirthdayVirat,” Rahul tweeted.

Well, Kohli took some time to reply to Rahul’s query but when he did, he came up with a brilliant reply. The India skipper replied by saying: Thanks Bru ✌️ I just do what I do! ?.”

The reply brought back the memories of former Reserve Bank of India governor Raghuram Rajan’s famous statement when he had surprisingly  cut the benchmark repo rate by 50 basis points to a four-year low of 6.75 percent. After being criticised by several quarters, he had famously said: “My name is Raghuram Rajan and I do what I do.”
