The New Zealand tour has been nothing special for Indian team captain Virat Kohli. He could not score any half-century in the T20 series. He scored a half-century with his bat in the first match of the ODI series but flopped in the next two matches. In both innings of the first Test, his bat was completely quiet. He is now being heavily criticized for his performances.

And, he did respond in his own way.

Sri Lankan journalist Daniel Alexander is among the biggest critics of Indian cricket. He constantly criticizes the Indian team and players on social media. He has once again questioned Kohli’s form and said to be overrated.

Daniel took to Twitter to write:

19, 2, 9, 15, 51, 11, 38, 11, 45 – Virat Kohli’s scores in New Zealand series 2020 (all 3 formats). #Cricket Inns – 9 Runs – 201 Ave – 22.33 50 – 1 *Steve Smith, Babar Azam & Kane Williamson top three all format batsmen and score in all conditions. Kohli over-rated.

Virat Kohli Just Had One Bad Tour: Alex Tudor

Former England all-rounder Alex Tudor has responded to this post by Alexander. He has slammed him for criticizing Kohli for a bad tour.

Moreover, Tudor has played 10 Tests and three ODIs for England. He has 229 runs to his name in 10 Tests as well as 28 wickets. He made his Test debut against Australia in 1998 in Perth. It was on this ground that he played his last Test match in 2002.

India’s skipper and the number one batsman in the world, Kohli is going through a rough patch in international cricket at the moment. Precisely, he is not having a good time with the bat and the century master has been relatively quiet for a long time now. Still, he feels he is doing good with the bat.

Kohli had the worst series as a captain with the bat in the recently-concluded India-New Zealand ODI series as he could score only 75 runs in the three games he played.

Well, this was by far his poorest performance in a bilateral ODI series since his captaincy debut in the format.
