Watch: Glenn Maxwell Takes Stunning Catch To Dismiss In-Form Virat Kohli For A Duck

After winning the toss, India captain Virat Kohli had said that batting first would be a no-brainer. However, just 5.1 overs into the game and his decision has been proved wrong by Australia pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile as he rocked the hosts by first dismissing Ajinkya Rahane for 5 before dismissing the in-form India skipper for a duck.

Kohli had a chance to make amends for his disastrous performance in the Test series against Steve Smith & Co. earlier this year but he failed miserably against them once again and he only has himself to blame for it. Coulter-Nile bowled full and wide of off and Kohli just could not resists the temptation of going for the drive. However, he could not time the shot well and the ball after taking a thick outside edge on the slice went high and towards backward point.

But there was still a lot to be done to see Kohli’s back and Glenn Maxwell rose to the occasion as he timed his jump to perfection and plucked a stunning one-handed catch.
