Indian Cricket Team is all set to end the drought for the ICC T20 World Cup trophy. The Men in Blue haven’t won ICC T20 World Cup since 2007.  The team was close in the 2014 and 2016 editions but failed in crucial moments of the match. India would be hoping that the team peaks at the right time.

The Men in Blue are on a roll at the moment as beating Australia and South Africa in T20I Series is never easy. It won’t be wrong to say that the team has reinvented itself and now is looking a powerful unit. The Skipper Rohit Sharma would be aware that the team needs to start well against their arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match.

1983 World Cup Winning Captain was having an interaction with the media and was asked abut Team India. In T20 cricket, the team winning one match can lose the next. It’s very difficult to talk about the chances of India winning the World Cup. The issue is can they make it to the top four? And I am concerned about their making it to the top four. Only then anything can be said. For me, it’s just a 30 percent chance of India making it to the top (last) four.” said Kapil.

“What more do you want in the side other than having all-rounders who could win matches for a side not only in the World Cup but in all other matches or events? A cricketer like Hardik Pandya has been quite useful for India.”  he added.

Great Chance for India

The Men in Blue has a perfect chance to take revenge against Pakistan for their T20 World Cup 2021 defeat. On the other hand once again Pakistan would be relying on Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to get the team to a flyer. This time the duo would be tested as smashing boundaries in Australia won’t be easy.

Head Coach Rahul Dravid and Skipper Rohit Sharma will have to be spot-on with their selection. The management should not try to experiment as a couple of losses can ruin all the hard work of the team.
