Team India’s young fast bowler, Arshdeep Singh, has been one of the standout performers in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 held in Australia. The 23-year-old has taken at least one wicket in all Super 12 matches and has also taken nine wickets at an average of 14.67. He is the leading wicket-taker in the Super 15 stage, along with Sam Curran.

The left-arm pacer bowled brilliantly in the last over against Bangladesh as Team India won the match by 5 runs through the Duckworth-Lewis method in the Super 12 match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday, November 2. Team India almost secured their place in the semi-finals with a win in the rain-affected game.

The Way Arshdeep Controls The New Ball Is Great – Misbah-ul-Haq

Arshdeep Singh’s pinpoint yorkers and ability to swing the ball both ways have won him, admirers, from over the border, and Pakistani cricket legend Misbah-ul-Haq couldn’t stop praising his skills.

“We saw in Asia Cup that when he tries something different then it’s a problem, but his wicket-taking yorkers are quite solid in the end overs. The way he controls the new ball is great, but even better is the way he bowls a yorker straight at stumps in the end overs,” Misbah said.

Arshdeep Singh, who made his T20I debut in July of this year, has taken 28 wickets in 17 matches with an average of 18.14 and an economy rate of 8.17.

India moved to the top of the table after the win against Bangladesh. The Men in Blue now only need one point from their last league game against Zimbabwe to make the semi-finals. If India loses to Zimbabwe and Bangladesh beats Pakistan by a large margin, their Net Run Rate (NRR) will be higher than India’s.
