India will face Australia in the second Test of the four-match series starting Friday, February 17 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The second match of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2023 is going to be played in front of a fully packed house as the tickets are sold out and confirmed by Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) officials.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium is hosting the first Test since December 2017, the last match played between India and Sri Lanka. Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli scored a double hundred and Murali Vijay scored a century in the match, which ended in a draw. The stadium has a seating capacity of 40,000. 24,000 tickets were made available for sale, and 8000 were given to DDCA members. The dignitaries attending the game will occupy the remaining seats.

The Rohit Sharma-led team beat the Pat Cummins-led team by innings and 132 runs in the first match in Nagpur. The hosts took an unassailable 1-0 lead in the four-match series, and winning the second match would almost confirm their berth in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) Final for the second time on June 8 at the Oval in London.

Team India dominated in the much-anticipated first match of the series, which finished inside three days. The home team bowled out the opposition for 177 runs and, in response, scored 400 runs in their only innings to take a 223-run lead. While Ravindra Jadeja took five wickets in the first innings, Ravichandran Ashwin did so in the second innings. The Aussies were bowled out for just 91 runs in one session in their second innings.
