Indian Cricket Team suffered a heart-wrenching defeat against Bangladesh in the 2nd ODI. The Men in Blue lost the match by a mere 5 runs and lost their consecutive ODI Series against Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma would be utterly disappointed as he couldn’t take the team over the finish line.

The Men in Blue looked a bit off-color during the run chase as the early wickets of Virat Kohli & Shikhar Dhawan put pressure on the rest of the batting lineup. Shreyas Iyer made a strong case for himself as the right-handed batter scored 82 runs in 102 balls where he struck 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Sunil Gavaskar on Rohit Sharma

After the match, Sunil Gavaskar made an interesting remark on Rohit Sharma. “I feel if he could come out to bat at number 9, then he could have perhaps batted at number 7. This would have helped helped the others. Who knows, may be Axar Patel wouldn’t have played the shot that he did to get out. This is because they didn’t know whether Rohit would come out to bat or how serious his injury was.” said Sunil Gavaskar

Delight for Bangladesh

Bangladesh Cricket Team would be ecstatic after winning the ODI Series. We should not forget that Bangladesh didn’t had the services of their skipper Tamim Iqbal & speedster Taskin Ahmed. The team showed why they are one of the most dangerous teams in ODI Cricket.

Mehidy Hasan continued his purple match as the batter from nowhere smashed a century batting at the No.8 position. Taking the score from 69-6 to 271 was quite magnificent. The stand-in skipper Litton Das was calm in his approach as it won’t be wrong to say that he was a bowler’s captain as he rotated the bowlers smartly
