CSK vs PBKS: Chennai Super Kings Need Adam Milne Back In The Side: Aakash Chopra

IPL 2022: Former India opener and commentator Aakash Chopra has empathized that Chennai Super Kings needs to play Adam Milne if he is fit.

According to Chopra CSK’s bowling is very weak due to the absence of Deepak Chahar who is a power-play specialist. CSK was hurt in their last game against Lucknow Super Giants when even Adam Milne had to sit out of the game due to an injury.

CSK have lost both their games in the tournament so far. In the game against LSG, they were on course for a victory but lost the plot in the 19th over of the 2nd innings when Shivam Dube conceded 25 runs in the over to hand LSG the match on a platter.

Chennai Super Kings Needs Indian Bowlers To Step Up Aakash Chopra

Chopra has said that CSK turned to Dube in the 19th over of the game because they didn’t have any other options.

“Chennai are in trouble, especially when it comes to their bowling. They came close to winning their last match before that Shivam Dube over. But then, that was bound to happen because they did not have any other bowlers,” Chopra said in his YouTube video.

Chopra also pointed out that CSK needs to play Milne if he’s fully fit because their Indian bowlers haven’t been doing well.

“If Adam Milne is fit, CSK need to play him because the bowling is looking a bit weak. Dwaine Pretorius did well, Dwayne Bravo is doing a good job. But what about the Indian bowlers? Among spinners, Jadeja and Moeen are not making the same kind of impact as the ball gets wet”, stressed Chopra.

Aakash Chopra also wants Rituraj Gaikwad to start scoring runs if CSK wants to return to winning ways. On Gaikwad, Chopra said: When Ruturaj doesn’t score, CSK get stuck. He starts slowly every season, but if he doesn’t start scoring soon, the team will keep suffering. Among others, Robin Uthappa has rewound the clock. He is batting beautifully and is a key player. Moeen Ali is the most important player in the team at this point.”

Gaikwad won the Orange Cap in the last season of the Indian Premier League but hasn’t been able to start well in the new season with two low scores. CSK would hope that their young opener finds his form back.
