T Natarajan’s comeback to the IPL has thrilled Shoaib Akhtar, who has 17 wickets in nine innings and is a candidate for the Purple Cap.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) winners, have experienced a rollercoaster ride so far in the tournament’s 15th edition. They dropped their first two games before mounting a dramatic comeback to take the lead with five straight victories.

Due to Kane Williamson’s poor play and several injuries, they have lost four straight games, putting their season on hold.

“We’ve had a difficult time reversing the momentum and turning the situation around. These have been reasonable totals, and the batting has been excellent, but there are certain areas where the team can improve.”

“We were quite dangerous earlier in the competition when there was help with the new ball, so we need to go back to the drawing board now that we have a little time between games.” Kane Williamson Said.

‘Natarajan is an exciting talent’: Shoaib Akhtar

Natarajan’s outstanding return to the IPL, where he has 17 wickets in nine innings and is a contention for the Purple Cap, has thrilled Akhtar. These wickets were taken with a strike rate of 8.66 and an average of 17.66.

The former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar praised the 31-year-old Indian pacer as an “asset” and a “promising potential” in an interview with Sportskeeda.

“Natarajan is a promising young artist. He’s a valuable asset, and I’m looking forward to more of him in the days ahead. Bhuvneshwar is, without a doubt, a brilliant bowler. “They both have an excellent grasp of their abilities,” Shoaib Akhtar remarked.

With five wins in 11 games, SRH now sits sixth in the points chart. They play Kolkata Knight Riders on May 14, Mumbai Indians on May 17, and Punjab Kings on May 22. They can still make the playoffs with other factors in play if they win all of their remaining games.
