For RCB, Harshal Patel picked 3 while Dan Christian grabbed 2 wickets. During the chase, skipper Virat Kohli lost his wicket in the 1st over itself. Glenn Maxwell, with a quickfire 40 off just 25 balls, got run-out which totally turned the match in SRH’s favour. Devdutt Padikkal’s slow innings of 41 off 52 balls added to RCB’s woes. In the end, RCB remained short of 5 runs for victory.
Talking about Mumbai Indians, the team totally outplayed Rajasthan Royals in their previous game. Bowling first, MI restricted RR to just 90-9 in 20 overs. Opener Evin Lewis scored the highest 24 runs while the rest of the batsmen got out cheaply.
MI’s Nathan Coulter-Nile scalped 4 wickets while James Neesham picked 3 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah also got 2 wickets. The chase was an easy task for Mumbai Indians. Ishan Kishan’s 50-off-25 ensured victory for MI in just 8.2 overs. With the victory, MI have a good chance of making it to the playoffs.
