Cricketers from New Zealand are able to choose between competing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 or representing their nation. As a result, there will be no hesitation among the IPL franchises while picking players from the Kiwi nation.

We are getting close to the IPL 2023 mini-auction, and the 10 franchises have made some bold decisions ahead of the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Prior to the IPL 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders released 15 players, whereas Kane Williamson, the captain and team’s nucleus, was released by Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Kyle Jamieson and Chris Morris in 2020, and Pat Cummins in 2021. Similarly to this, a few cricketers can command high bids before the mini-auction for their services.

One of the prominent names released in the most recent IPL 2023 retentions was New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson. Kane Williamson was cut from Sunrisers Hyderabad’s roster in advance of the IPL 2023 auction. The squad’s last season was led by Kane Williamson, who will be prepared to join a new team during the IPL 2023 auction.

Kane Williamson got some impressive runs in the most recent ICC T20 World Cup 2022. One of the best batsmen in the IPL is the New Zealand captain, who has 2101 runs in 76 games of the league at an average of 36.22. In the future, he could also make a good skipper choice for any team.

James Neesham

New Zealander James Neesham is a valuable resource in the world of T20 cricket because there aren’t many pace-bowling all-rounders who can also bowl with explosiveness. In the IPL 2022 auction, Rajasthan Royals purchased the Kiwi all-rounder for INR 1.5 crore.

The four positions for players from overseas were all filled, therefore the all-rounder didn’t have many opportunities to play in the starting XI. The southpaw played in two games, scoring 31 runs in each, but he was too expensive with the ball and failed to claim a wicket.

However, there is always a good chance of an all-rounder going for a hefty price tag. Also, he has a strike rate of 159.6 while playing for New Zealand in the T20Is.

Adam Milne made his international debut for New Zealand in 2010 and has since appeared in just 40 ODIs and 33 T20Is. He has reduced his international participation on numerous occasions due to injuries.

In the 2016 IPL, Adam Milne made his debut for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was chosen to play for CSK against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2022 season opening. Milne, though, was hurt during his third over of bowling and had to leave the field. He was then disqualified from the IPL 2022.

Adam Milne will be on the radar of most of the franchises after being released by CSK as there are not many in the world who are as quick as the Kiwi pacer.
