IPL 2023 Auction: Complete List Of Players Released By Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have announced their final list of retained and released players for the IPL 2023 auction. The two-time IPL winners have released a total of 10 players from their squad.

The preparations for IPL 2023 auction have already begun. The mini-auction is going to take place on December 23 in Kochi, Kerala. Ahead of the auction, BCCI had asked all 10 IPL franchises to send their list of released and retained players by November 15.

IPL 2023 Auction: Complete List Of Players Released By Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Kolkata Knight Riders have won the IPL titles twice- in IPL 2012 and IPL 2014. Last year, the team did not manage to reach the playoffs. The franchise picked Shreyas Iyer during last year’s mega auction and named him the new skipper of the side.

Last season in IPL 2022, KKR played 14 games. They managed to win only 6 matches and lost 8 games. With 12 points, the Shreyas Iyer-led side finished in the 7th spot in the points table and failed to reach the playoffs.

For KKR, Andre Russell picked the most number of 17 wickets in 14 games. Umesh Yadav was next on the list with 16 scalps in 12 matches. In batting, captain Shreyas Iyer was the top run-getter with 401 runs in 14 matches and was the only batter to cross the 400-run mark. Nitish Rana and Andre Russell were next with 361 and 335 runs respectively.
