Delhi Capitals take on Gujarat Titans in match 32 of IPL 2024 on April 17, Wednesday. The match starts from 7.30 pm IST and this is a crucial game for both teams more so for the Capitals who are placed ninth on the table.
The Capitals are heading into this game on the back of an away win against Lucknow Super Giants. They chased down 168 with overs to spare and got themselves two crucial points.
It was almost a clinical game for the Capitals. Their bowling came together with the return of Kuldeep Yadav who missed the last three games with an injury. He took wickets in the middle-overs with the pacers playing their part as well.
As a side, they will back the same XI to get out of the park and deliver another win. The opening combination of Prithvi Shaw and David Warner has not quite fired so far and they would want runs from those two.

Warner will open the batting for DC. He has not been at his fluent best yet like he generally is. He scored eight off nine balls. So far this season he has scored 166 runs from five games at an average of 27.67.
Prithvi Shaw
Shaw will open the batting with Warner. He scored 32 off 22 balls but could not carry on longer against LSG. His has looked to be very attacking inside the powerplay.
Jake Fraser-McGurk
He can bat at three. The right-hander scored 55 on his IPL debut for Delhi Capitals and smacked sixes off the first two balls. He batted with great intent against LSG.
Rishabh Pant (C/WK)
Pant the skipper will bat at four. He has already scored two fifties this season. Against LSG, he scored 41 off 24 balls to take his team home.
Tristan Stubbs
Stubbs can slot in at five. He has been acting the finisher's role almost perfectly this season for DC. He is amongst the top run-getters as of now with 189 runs with a strike rate of 190.
Shai Hope
Hope batted at six in the previous game and gave depth to the Delhi Capitals batting lineup. He might be used in that same number once again. He scored 11 off 10 balls against LSG.
Axar Patel
Axar has not been amongst the runs or wickets this season. He has scored just 51 runs and picked up four wickets this season so far. However, he has backed up Kuldeep Yadav very well and has been economical.
Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav will be the second specialist spinner in the XI. He missed three games for the Delhi Capitals before making an impact on his return game with a three-fer. He gives the Delhi bowling attack that extra teeth. He has picked up six wickets in just three games.
Ishant Sharma
Ishant Sharma will lead the pace attack for Delhi Capitals. He took one for 36 against LSG. His best delivery was the yorker that he bowled to Andre Russell against KKR. He has picked up four wickets this season. He is 14 away from 100 IPL wickets.
Khaleel Ahmed
Khaleel will be the second Indian seamer in the XI. He has picked up nine wickets from six games the most by a Delhi Capitals bowler so far in the season. Against LSG, he took 2/41.
Mukesh Kumar
Mukesh Kumar concludes the likely playing XI for Delhi Capitals. He is being used as a deth overs specialist by skipper Rishabh Pant. He picked up 1 /41 against LSG.
Impact Sub- Abishek Porel
Porel has been used in the Impact sub role by Delhi Capitals but he has not been consistent barring the first game. He did not get to bat in the last game.
