Mohammed Shami, an Indian fast bowler, produced a ripper of delivery in the first over to dismiss New Zealand opening batsman Finn Allen.
In the second one-day international against New Zealand on Saturday, India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. The hosts, who lead the three-match series 1-0, are unchanged from their opening victory in Raipur.

India won the first ODI thanks to Shubman Gill’s double century and Mohammed Siraj’s four-wicket haul in Hyderabad. With 140 off 78, Michael Bracewell gave it his all, but the Blackcaps fell short by 12 runs. For the second ODI, both teams are traveling to Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.

Another high-scoring match is anticipated, and the pitch is predicted to help the batters. After the collapse in the first game, both teams’ middle orders have a lot to live up to, and New Zealand’s inexperienced bowling lineup is undoubtedly hurting them.

Mohammed Shami Shami and Mohammed Siraj hit the ideal spots to put the New Zealand openers under strain before Bengal bowler Mohammed Siraj delivered a superb delivery to end Finn Allen’s stay in the middle.

Mohammed Shami provided an excellent seam, and after pitching, the delivery came back in. In an attempt to play a loose drive, Finn Allen’s bat and pad were split in half by the ball, which rattled the Wicket.

There were runs galore in Hyderabad, with Michael Bracewell almost matching Shubham Gill’s double century. Bracewell gave India a reality check after having the visitors on the ropes, as the left-hander nearly pulled off a miraculous victory.

A double hundred, a hundred, and a fifty were scored for a total of 686 runs, and the bowlers, with the exception of Mohammed Siraj, were in hiding for naught. The series now shifts to Raipur, which will host its first-ever One Day International. India will be trying for a series win, while the visitors will be hoping to keep the series alive.
