In the opening encounter on January 20, MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals will wrestle with each other at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town. The SA20 2023 final takes place on February 11 at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

There will be a single points table in SA20 2023 as the tournament will take place in a double round-robin format. The top 4 teams in the points table after the league stage will qualify for the semi-finals. The rest 2 teams will be eliminated from the semis. The winners of both semi-finals will lock horns in the final.
