Kishan has been the most consistent Indian batter in the series so far. He is the top-scorer of the series with 164 runs in three games with two fifties. In the last game, he scored 54 off 35 balls and added a 97-run opening stand with Gaikwad.

Iyer will continue to bat at number three. He has also looked solid with the bat in every innings he has played. Unfortunately, he has been dismissed at the wrong time, something that he would like to work on.

Pant has been way out of form as a batsman in the series. He did not score s fifty in the IPL and still none in this series. He would like to contribute substantially with the bat.

Pandya has been chipping in with important cameos batting at number five. In the last game, he scored an unbeaten 31 off 21 balls and played his part in taking India to 179. Pant has not used him much with the ball though.

Dinesh Karthik

After playing an important hand in the second T20I, he scored six off 8 balls in the third. DK needs to contribute consistently at number six if he wants to be a part of India’s T20 World Cup squad. He makes up India’s top 6 of the playing XI.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvi has decent enough batting abilities to bat at number seven in this team for India. He has been special with the ball so far with six wickets from three games.

Harshal Patel

Patel can slot in at number eight. He took four wickets in the previous match and has also taken six so far in the series. He has caused a few problems with his slower deliveries and changeups for the Proteas batsmen.

Chahal can be the specialist spinner in India’s playing XI. He has struggled with the ball so far with the SA batters taking a liking to him in the series. He has taken four wickets so far three of which came in the last game.

Arshdeep Singh

The management should give him Arsshdeep his debut cap in the next game. He can be a part of India’s 4-man pace attack as Aveh Khan can be rested for this game.

Malik can also make his T20I debut in the next game. Several former cricketers have already spoken about his inclusion in the playing XI. He can come in for Axar Patel who has not looked at his best in the series so far.
