IND vs PAK: Rain To Play Spoilsport? Kandy Weather Report Live Today Has Some Bad News. The cricketing world is eagerly waiting for the highly-anticipated India vs Pakistan match in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. The sixteenth edition of the continental championship got underway on Wednesday (August 30) with the match between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan.

Pakistan thrashed Nepal by 238 runs in the tournament opener to begin their campaign in style. With such a huge win already in the bag, Pakistan are all but assured of a place in the Super 4. They will be looking to extend that impressive start when the much-awaited IND vs PAK clash takes place this week.

The match is scheduled to take place on Saturday (September 2) in Pallekele. It will be India’s first game of the tournament. It will also be the first IND vs PAK clash of the year. The arch-rivals have not played against each other since the thrilling contest between them at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in last year’s T20 World Cup.

Rain threatens to disrupt IND vs PAK match:

While the cricketing world is eagerly waiting for another classic IND vs PAK contest on the cricket field this week, rain could leave them disappointed. As per reports, the weather forecast for Saturday is not very promising and rain could play spoilsport.

According to AccuWeather, there is a 100 percent chance of precipitation and 90 percent chance of thunderstorms on Saturday. Reporters present at the stadium ahead of Thursday’s match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have informed of rolled-up covers being placed near the boundary ropes. The outfield is also wet due to heavy rainfall on Wednesday and the forecast for the remainder of the week is also very concerning.

As per the weather report for Saturday (September 2), there is a chance of rain from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM. And although the India vs Pakistan match will begin at 3:00 PM, heavy rain could spoil the party. There are also high chances of rain from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. AccuWeather has also predicted another spell of showers from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Looking at the forecast, it would not be wrong to say that there is a chance of the entire match getting washed out. Fans will be hoping that rain stays away and they get to see India and Pakistan in action on Saturday.
