Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter MS Dhoni made the crowd's money worth in the ongoing game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match between the teams is taking place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. 

MS Dhoni yet again played a brutal innings for his team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 while batting down the order. The keeper-batter made a mockery of the Lucknow Super Giants bowling lineup as he helped his team get a massive total on the board in Lucknow. 

MS Dhoni came to bat on the last ball of the 18th over and after that entertained the crowd for two overs. The keeper-batter came out all guns blazing and went after the bowlers right from the word go. He showed no mercy on the opposition and yet again proved that he still had what was in the fray in his young days. 

The main highlight of his innings was the six that he hit against Mohsin Khan on the back side of the wicket. It was during the second ball of the 19th over when the pacer bowled a short of a length delivery on stumps and no one expected keeper-batter to do what he did. 

MS Dhoni walked across the stumps and tried to scoop. The ball went over KL Rahul and flew off the bat off the outer half of the bat for a gigantic six. It was a rare sight because the keeper-batter has hardly played shots like this in his career. 

MS Dhoni kick-started his innings with a four and after that didn't look back. He played magnificently strokes in his innings and tilted the game in his team's favor. Chennai Super Kings struggled to score quick runs in the middle. However, the keeper-batter completely changed the momentum. 

MS Dhoni ended with then innings of 28 runs off just 9 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 311 and also slammed 3 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. His brutal display with the bat at the end powered Chennai Super Kings to a total of 176 runs on the board.

Former South Africa cricketer Dale Steyn recently talked about MS Dhoni's sensational run of form in the ongoing IPL 2024. He was in awe of keeper-batter's batting in the league and urged Chennai Super Kings management to make him bat up the order. He stated while speaking to Star Sports: 

"Not only has it engulfed the IPL. That's engulfed many in South Africa and myself, to be honest with you, I don't watch a lot of TV, but I seem to be glued to the seat when the IPL is on, my girlfriend says that my TV is broken it's stuck on cricket right now IPL and watching MS the other night. That's exactly what we want to do.

"You know, I've been on the receiving end of it before. I've watched it from a fan's point of view, I loved it. I mean, I am in a much better mood because of what I've just seen. So, can we get more of MS Dhoni out in the middle? That would be great,"  

MS Dhoni in the ongoing IPL 2024 has slammed 87 runs in just 34 balls that he has faced in the league. His scores in the league read: 37*(16), 1*(2), 1*(3), 20*(4) & 28*(9).
