Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) locked horns with each other in the 50th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The game between the two teams took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday (2nd May).
Sunrisers Hyderabad made a comeback in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after facing two back-to-back losses. They defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 1 run at the Rajiv Gandhi International and inched themselves closer to the playoffs of the league.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bat first. But it wasn't a great start for them with the bat at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head started off slow as Rajasthan Royals bowlers right on the money.
Abhishek Sharma (12) was the first wicket for Sunrisers Hyderabad and after that, they lost Anmolpreet Singh (5) as well. They were left tottering at 35/2 and after that, they struggled to score quick runs and were put on the back foot by the Rajasthan Royals bowlers.
However, after that Travis Head (58) and Nitish Reddy (76) played magnificently well and brought their team back into the game. They counter-attacked the Rajasthan Royals and made sure that they entertained the crowd at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The duo added 96 runs before Head was back in the hut. However, Heinrich Klaasen (42), in the end, made sure that he kept the carnage on as he did further damage. He along with Nitish added unbeaten 72 runs and took Sunrisers Hyderabad to a total of 201 runs on the board.
For Rajasthan Royals, Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 2/39. Apart from him, Sandeep Sharma picked one wicket whereas the rest of the bowlers failed to take wickets for the team at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

SRH vs RR IPL 2024 Match 50- Rajasthan Royals innings: Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag set the stage on fire with the bat but failed to take home
It was a horrible start for Rajasthan Royals as Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed Jos Buttler for a golden duck and Sanju Samson for a three-ball duck in the first over of the innings. The visitors were left tottering at 1/2.
After that, it was Yashasvi Jaiswal (67) and Riyan Parag (77) , who set the stage on fire. The duo played a magnificent innings and brought Rajasthan Royals back in the game. The duo hit brutal half-centuries and made sure that they kept the run rate in check.
They added 134 runs partnership and after that, Sunrisers Hyderabad pulled things back incredibly well. They picked quick wickets and put Rajasthan Royals under pressure. Rovman Powell (27) gave his best but lost his wicket on the last ball as Sunrisers Hyderabad clinched the game by 1 run as Bhuvneshwar Kumar oozed his class with the ball.
