Pakistan and New Zealand go head to head in a five-match T20I series starting with the first match on Thursday, February 18. The match starts at 8 pm IST. The first three matches will be played in Rawalpindi while the last two in Lahore.
The PAK vs NZ matches will be played on April 18, 20, 21, 25 and 27. Babar Azam was reinstated as the captain of the Pakistan National Cricket Team. Meanwhile, New Zealand will be led by Michael Bracewell.
Mohd Amir and Imad Wasim are part of the Pakistan T20I squad that has been named for the series. The duo unretired from international cricket especially to play for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup.
Amir picked up nine wickets in the PSL 2024 season. Wasim picked up 12 wickets, including one fifer, and averaged 20.91 with an economy of 6.60 in the PSL. He also scored 126 runs.
New Zealand will be led by Michael Bracewell. He will lead a second-string Kiwi side with several of their key players unavailable. As many as 12 players made themselves unavailable as and when the series was announced.
Some of the key players are playing in the IPL while a few others have pulled out of the series due to personal reasons. Injuries to Finn Allen (back injury) and pacer Adam Milne (ankle injury).
