PAK vs NZ: "If They Continue To Work Hard..." - Misbah-ul-Haq Names Future Superstars Of Pakistan Cricket

The former captain and head coach of the Pakistan cricket team Misbah-ul-Haq named the young players who can achieve more milestones for the nation across the formats in the future. Misbah-ul-Haq’s statement came ahead of the white-ball series against New Zealand, which consists of five T20Is and as many ODIs.

Skipper Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi, who were rested for the Afghanistan series, were included in the white-ball series. The series will begin on April 14 in Lahore, where three T20Is will be played. Rawalpindi will host the final two T20Is and the first ODI before the remaining four ODIs are played in Karachi.

Speaking to local reporters in Lahore, Misbah-ul-Haq praised Ihsanullah, Saim Ayub, and Mohammad Haris for their batting and bowling skills, respectively. Misbah-ul-Haq believes that they are capable of achieving more for Pakistan in the future.

“Ihsanullah is the kind of bowler, who can win you series and tournaments. He can make a big impact. Whereas in batting, we have discovered Saim Ayub. [Mohammad] Haris has also given good performances,” said Misbah.

“The two players we have got in batting and bowling, if they continue to work hard, then they can do a lot for Pakistan in future,” he added.

Ihsanullah made his international debut in the first T20I match against Afghanistan in Sharjah. The fast bowler impressed in the series with the ball in his debut series and finished as the highest wicket-taker with six wickets.

Saim Ayub earned a call following his performances in the latest edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Saim impressed with his performance with the bat in the challenging conditions in Sharjah.

Ihsanullah, Saim Ayub, and Mohammad Haris were part of the Pakistan T20I squad against New Zealand. With the arrival of senior players, the youngster has to move down the batting order. It will be a great opportunity for them to cement their place in the squad.
