Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Is Keen On Buying Shares Of Rajasthan Royals - Reports

It seems like the Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has got an eye on the domestic cricket festival in India named Indian Premier League. The latest reports suggest that the Bachchan family are very much interested in buying Rajasthan Royals’ stakes in the lucrative tournament. They are already involved in Prokabaddi and Indian Super League tournaments.

As per the report, they first approached Chennai Super Kings. Later, they approached one-time champion Rajasthan Royals. “Yes, Abhishek (Bachchan) met Manoj Badale in London some time ago,” Ramesh Pulapaka, CEO of AB Corp, was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

Rajasthan Royals looking to add Bollywood quotient:

The Rajasthan Royals ownership has already seen several changes in ownership. The actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra were forced to exit the league as the team returned to the IPL after a two-year suspension following the match-fixing allegations.

Recently, the reports surfaced that Rajasthan Royals’ owners are trying to sell half of their shares of Rajasthan Royals. Perhaps, the reports are true, as Amitabh Bachchan Corporation had involved in some internal meetings with the franchise owners.

Moreover, it has been learnt that the Bachchans are looking at a brand endorsing role with minority stakes. Bachchans have a similar understating with the Dani family of Chennaiyin FC.

Furtherly, it comes to know that Rajasthan Royals are eyeing to add some Bollywood quotient to the franchise for the endorsing reasons. In that case, they can’t ask for a better person than Amitabh Bachchan, who is a legendary figure in the Indian film industry.

However, the attachment of Bachchan’s family can only be finalised if the supreme court-appointed CoA allows the changes at this stage. Meanwhile, Bachchan family would hope for the best, as this was the case with Delhi franchise in the previous edition of Indian Premier League.
