Australia vs India 2018-19: Incredible Achievement Indian Cricktet Team - Amitabh Bachchan

The legendary Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan congratulated the Indian cricket team on the historic win against Australia. India clinched the Border-Gavaskar by 2-1 and most importantly they won their maiden Test series on Australian soil to end the 71-year drought. The visitors were yet to savour success on the Australian soil.

In fact, there were 11 series before this one, in which Australia had won on eight occasions. However, the best result India could ever get was a drawn series on three occasions. Subsequently, Virat Kohli and Co. were able to turn the tables on this tour.

The team has made everyone proud.

Meanwhile, India was showing the promise to do well while playing in the overseas conditions. In fact, it was all about their batting doing the job. Virat Kohli was the lone warrior on the South African and England tour. Thus, the number one side in the world was on the wrong side of the result.

However, as soon as the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, Mayank Agarwal, Rishabh Pant delivered the goods with the bat, it was always a good chance of India’s win. Pujara scored 521 runs, faced 1258 balls and he was the major difference between the two sides.

On the other hand, the Indian pace battery was always relentless. They had clinched all the sixty wickets on the South African tour and had also done well on England tour. Come Australia, they were once again up and ready as hungry Lions.

Hence, it was a collective team effort from the Indian team to create history in the southern hemisphere.
