The ongoing match in the Indian Premier League 2023 has seen Kolkata Knight Riders being put in a precarious position in their chase against the Chennai Super Kings with the team hoping to get past the mountain score of 235. Jason Roy who has been in good form was dismissed by Maheesh Theekshana as KKR lost their fifth batter.

Jason Roy could not open the innings for the Knight Riders as the batter suffered an injury during fielding in the first innings and had to be taken off the field. Sunil Narayan opened the innings in place of the batter but could not make any impact as he was dismissed on a duck by Akash Singh.

Kolkata lost another set of wickets before Jason Roy came into the middle and started to rip into CSK’s bowling right from the get-go with the asking rate going higher by every delivery. Roy alongside Rinku Singh tried to keep his team in the game but the total was too much for anyone in the lineup.

After smashing Maheesh Theekshana for two consecutive boundaries in the 15th over, Jason Roy tried to slog for another in the following delivery but failed to get a read on the ball as it beat the batter before cleaning up the middle stumps.
